Lampworking is a type of glasswork where a torch or lamp is primarily used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, as the modern practice no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.

Blown bottles, small sculptures & marbles are all fun to do in the torch.

Bethlehem Alpha Torch

Bethlehem Alpha Torch is what I use for Lampworking. Its a torch developed specifically for low pressure natural gas and oxygen.

I’m using my Alpha with natural gas and oxygen from a rebuilt oxygen concentrator that keeps this dual fuel torch at peak performance.   The torch came directly from Bethlehem apparatus and the oxygen concentrator came from ABR Imagery.
