I love this lamp, although wrapping copper foil around all those little glass bits was tedious to say the least! Plus, the silly thing weighs a “ton”!
This one was built before a base made an appearance and, as you’ll see from the pictures below, it started out as a hanging lamp. Eww! So it went into a box and sat there for a long time while I was waiting for inspiration. Well, I’d almost forgotten about it, until I started looking for something and found it in the box!
Two round pieces of wood that I got, unfinished, at HobbyLobby, glued together, sanded into shape, stained and wired up and here it is! I did decide after all of this that I’m not building shades anymore, unless I have a base already picked out!
