Beads of Courage
The International Society of Glass Beadmakers supports Beads of Courage in many ways! Bead artists send handmade glass beads to Beads of Courage that are sent to the hospitals involved in the Arts in Medicine with the ISGB. The beads go to children who are undergoing treatments for cancer or other serious illness.
 | If they're having something small done, like bloodwork, they receive a small bead each time. If they're dealing with chemo or other very difficult things, that's the time for some kind of special bead. Some of the little ones have strands of beads that are so heavy they need help lifting them. |
